As an AMI trained teacher and I have had the pleasure of working with children for 2 years as a Montessori teacher. I’ve earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Chinese Art & Literature from the Communication University of China. My educational background allows me to offer your children a relevant and historical understanding of the Mandarin language and Chinese culture. Before coming to LiMai, I worked in the Media industry for over 10 years as the Editor in Chief of “His Life” magazine, a famous lifestyle magazine in China. Additionally, I worked for Vogue China magazine as a Senior Features Editor and prior to Vogue, I was the Deputy Director of Robb Report China magazine and under my management, we recognized and interviewed Warren Buffett gifting him by the president of China Trends Media Group.
When my daughter, Joy, was born we made a conscious decision when she was two years old to migrate to the US for more challenging opportunities. I joined an Executive MBA program at Chapman University and during a school break, I met 2 wonderful women: one was the owner of a Montessori school in Napa Valley, California and the other woman was a board member of a chain of Montessori schools in Southern California. I was already a big fan of Maria Montessori so we collaborated and they encouraged me to pursue my love of the Montessori Method way of learning. I am dedicated as a great educator and my vision is to guide our children to find their purpose in life and grow positively.

Hello, my name is Kathy Jung and I am currently teaching the Pre-K Blue class at LiMai Montessori Academy. I felt, in order to see and relate to why I teach, knowing my background was important. I was born in South Korea and my family immigrated to the U.S. when I was 16. Due to this, I experienced both the Korean and American education system. By comparing and examining the two systems, I developed a dream to work with kids. I wanted to provide an environment where students understand the importance of studying and education, like in Korea, but also understand that choices and possibilities are limitless, like in America. So, in order to achieve this dream of a balanced education system, I studied and worked hard to attain my Bachelor’s degree in early Childhood Education. It has been over 6 years now I started my teaching career.
I feel very fortunate to be spending my days teaching young children and I love every moment working with them. As a mother of two young children, being able to love and teach their peers has been an honor and joy.

Hello! My name is Kiki and I am happy to be a part of the LiMai Montessori family! I've worked with children for almost 10 years, discovering my passion at a young age to become an Early Childhood Educator. I received my degree in Early Childhood Education and my AMS certification at Montessori Western Teacher Training Program. My enthusiasm for the concrete, hands-on approach of units, lessons, and materials can inspire the children to fall in love with learning! Within a Montessori environment, the children have opportunity to learn at their own pace, develop confidence, and gain independence. Furthermore, we believe in the development of the whole child, so on top of supporting where they are academically, children will also be supported socially/emotionally.
Maria Montessori had once said "Free the child's potential and you will transform him into the world." Their absorbent minds are taking in so much information about the world at such a rapid pace! Our classrooms will be able to provide age-appropriate activities and a comfortable environment where they can ask questions and explore multiple subjects in detail. We’re a team! I believe whole-heartedly that parent and teachers can work together to create a positive, safe, and successful experience for their child at school. These children are our future, so I can’t wait to work together to see just how far they’ll go!

Hello! My name is Alice Chung. This is my first year working at LiMai Montessori Academy. I feel very blessed and happy to work here. I started my child care career when I was in college. When I was in college I enrolled in Child care development classes and fell in love with the career. I started volunteering at preschools, and subbing for teachers. I ended up being offered a job at a local preschool. I found myself truly enjoying, caring, and nurturing, and guiding preschoolers. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing that smile and connection when I have helped a child with something as little as putting on a band aid or learning something new.
Hello, my name is June Song. This is my first year working at LiMai Montessori Academy and I am very happy to join this friendly family. I was born in China. After graduating from high school I went to Germany and completed my college and master's degree in Political Economy at University of Hamburg in Germany. But after three years of doing related work, I realized that this is not what I want to do in the future.By chance, I learned about Montessori education. Its educational philosophy and teaching method have deeply attracted me, so I started my Montessori education four years ago and obtained the AMS credential at Capital Education Institute in south California.
Montessori emphasizes learning through all five senses, not just through listening, watching, or reading. Children in Montessori class learn at their own, individual pace and according to their own choice of activities from hundreds of possibilities. Learning is an exciting process of discovery, leading to concentration, motivation, self-discipline, and a love of learning. Children are a heritage from the Lord. It is a grate blessing for me to be able to work with the them every day and see their growth.

I hold my Early Childhood Education degree from SAC and AMS Certification from Montessori Western Teacher Training Program.
I believe that the first five years of a child’s life is vital, which is why they need a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment. I also believe that meeting a child’s hierarchy of needs which will help them build a strong foundation for the future. My goal as a teacher is to build trust with the children and guide them.
Dr. Maria Montessori said, “It is necessary for the teacher to guide each child without letting them feel her presence too much, so that she may always be ready to supply the desired health but never be the obstacles between the child and their experience.” And most importantly provide the best quality care for each child and their families.
My name is Agnes Hahn and I'm the teacher and the director in lower elementary program that is newly opened. I was graduated from Ewha Women’s University in Korea and acquired AMS Montessori Certificate for Primary, Lower Elementary & Upper Elementary courses in Korea, too. As a Montessori teacher, I can proudly say that every day’s life is full of blessings. In a Montessori environment, the teaching is not only watching they’re learning knowledge, but also watching they’re truly enjoying their learning process and thanking for all their surroundings. Most of all, I deeply appreciate Montessori Methodology, because it helped me have a bigger vision of the world. I really want to guide your children to open their eyes to discover the beauty of world and be a responsible human being. I'm going to walk on this way with your children and with our wonderful staff.
